Lip Filler Correction & Dissolving in Scottsdale

Correction is a specialty of this practice, not an afterthought. Patients come to Paris Medical Artistry concerned about migration above the lip border, filler that has become heavy or projected forward, asymmetry, or a lip that no longer looks like their own. Correction requires a different plan than a routine lip appointment, and it usually takes more than one visit.

What correction addresses

The correction process

Step 1

Assessment

Treatment history, product type where known, palpation, and how the lip behaves at rest and in motion all inform the plan. Not every concern requires dissolving.

Step 2

Dissolving

Hyaluronidase may be used to dissolve hyaluronic acid filler when clinically appropriate. The amount required and the number of sessions vary depending on product, placement, and how much filler has accumulated.

Step 3

Reset period

After dissolving, the lip is generally allowed to settle before any new product is considered. This waiting period is part of the plan, not a delay in it.

Step 4

Rebuilding

When appropriate, the lip is rebuilt using Lauren's vertical lip approach, prioritizing height, shape, and definition while minimizing projection and the conditions that lead to migration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hyaluronidase acts on hyaluronic acid filler. Concerns about the effect on your natural lip tissue are addressed directly at your consultation, including what is and is not expected.

It depends on how much product is present, what type it is, and where it sits. A single session is sometimes enough, and sometimes it is not.

Generally no. Allowing the lip to settle first produces a more predictable result.

That is common. Assessment does not depend on having complete records, though any information you can provide is useful.
